ShortTrack uses 2048-bit SSL & 256-bit file encryption, Redundant Cloud Servers, & Automatic Backup
Network Security: Our team follows industry standards and monitors security lists, promptly patching critical issues. For example, we tested and patched Heartbleed within hours of it being disclosed. Our engineers use VPNs for secure access and encrypt all data. Additionally, our servers undergo regular monthly automated vulnerability scans conducted by Trustwave.
Data Redundancy: ShortTrack hosts at a Tier 1 Facility with Redundant Cloud Servers and automatic backup. To isolate and protect your data, we us a multi-tenancy data storage architecture. All customer data is backed up with twice daily, weekly, and monthly snapshots.
Data Electronic Security: ShortTrack passwords are stored encrypted, meaning that even if someone could access your password, they would not be able to read it. Each user requires a password activated account and a secure invitation to view any file data. Your data will only be shared if you specifically choose to share it. For example – by uploading a document, then sharing it with a real estate agent you have entered as a contact. Then, they will need to activate a password protected account in order to view the document. Moreover, one-way password encryption means that they cannot be recovered by ShortTrack staff.
Data Physical Security: To keep your data safe, ShortTrack uses state of the art data centers at Rackspace, Digitial Ocean, and GCP. Each hosting site is staffed 24/7/365 with onsite security and to protect against unauthorized entry. Each site has security cameras that monitor both the facility premises as well as each area of the datacenter internally. There are biometric readers for access as well as at least two factor authentication to gain access to the building.
